JOSKA: ISORI KAMPAR JURNAL (a peer-reviewed scientific journal in sports and exercise science) invites submissions for a Special Issue dedicated to the 21st National Sports Week (PON XXI) Aceh–North Sumatra. This Special Issue aims to capture the broad scientific significance of PON XXI as a national sporting event and opportunity for research that informs theory, practice, and policy in sport science and allied disciplines.

PON XXI is a major event that not only highlights athletic excellence but also serves as an important context for advancing sport science research, talent development models, sport management practices, policy evaluations, and sport ecosystem sustainability. This Special Issue provides a forum to present research that enhances scholarly understanding of both performance and systemic aspects of large-scale sport events in Indonesia and comparable contexts.

The Special Issue welcomes high-quality manuscripts that address conceptual, methodological, empirical, or policy-oriented questions related to PON XXI Aceh–North Sumatra. Manuscripts should contribute to the global body of knowledge in sport and exercise science while providing meaningful insights for practitioners, policymakers, educators, and stakeholders.
