Partisipasi Kepanitiaan Test Pengukuran Vertical Jump pada Seleksi Calon Atlet SMP Se-Kota Medan 2025

Objective: Menyelenggarakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui partisipasi kepanitiaan dalam test pengukuran vertical jump untuk seleksi calon atlet SMP se-Kota Medan tahun 2025 guna mendukung identifikasi bakat olahraga dan pembangunan prestasi atletik di tingkat pelajar.
Methodology: Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kolaboratif melibatkan tim dosen dan mahasiswa sebagai panitia pelaksana. Metode yang digunakan meliputi standardisasi protokol pengukuran vertical jump, pelatihan panitia, dan pelaksanaan test yang mengikuti standar internasional menggunakan countermovement jump (CMJ) dengan alat bantu Vertec jump pole.
Results: Kegiatan berhasil mengukur kemampuan vertical jump 150 siswa SMP se-Kota Medan dengan rata-rata tinggi lompatan 45.2 cm. Sebanyak 25 siswa menunjukkan potensi luar biasa dengan hasil di atas percentile 90, 80 siswa berada di kategori baik (percentile 70-89), dan sisanya memerlukan pembinaan lebih lanjut. Kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan pemahaman panitia tentang pentingnya pengukuran objektif dalam seleksi atlet.
Conclusions: Program pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam sistem seleksi atlet pelajar dengan menyediakan data objektif berbasis evidenced-based testing. Kegiatan ini mendukung upaya pemerintah daerah dalam mengidentifikasi dan membina bakat olahraga sejak dini untuk meningkatkan prestasi olahraga Kota Medan.
